BABY’S PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT

There could be nothing more beautiful and fascinating than seeing your little baby grow. Babies’ growth is rapid through their first year of birth. They roll their eyes, move their head and body towards objects that are familiar and catch their attention. Growth is noticed in weight, length and the head circumference. The growth of both large motor skills that involve the neck, arms, legs, hands, and feet and fine motor skills that involve the fingers can be noticed.

Growth from 1 to 3 months

3 to 6 months

Babies are more active than the previous months and quicker to react to their surroundings. They:

Over the next year, the baby’s fine motor skills develop further. He is able to use his hands and fingers with increasing precision and is able to carry out variety of tasks that involve accuracy. By the time he is two years of age; he can hold and control a pencil or a brush with comparative ease, place objects in their appropriate places," play puzzles etc., he has now polished his fine motor abilities and would love to receive any appreciation from his parents.
